Our partner has experience of almost 40 years in marine industrial. We are now looking for our collaboration partner a highly motivated, responsible and experienced PROPOSAL ENGINEER. Proposal Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing technical inquiries and developing proposals for energy projects. This includes handling tenders, RFQs, technical evaluations, and collaborating with clients to deliver tailored energy solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with our partner's sales and technical teams to uphold the high standards.
Our partner has experience of almost 40 years in marine industrial. Their onsite energy department specializes in cutting-edge energy solutions, including Diesel Gensets, Gas (CHP/CCHP) systems, Microgrids and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development; Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for Diesel Gensets, Gas (CHP/CCHP) systems, Microgrids, and BESS solutions.
- Tender Management; Review RFQs, ITT documentation, and tender specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Technical Expertise; Address technical inquiries, evaluate project feasibility, and provide innovative energy solutions.
- Collaboration; Coordinate with internal teams (sales, engineering) and external stakeholders (vendors, subcontractors) to develop competitive proposals.
- Cost Estimation; Prepare cost estimates for equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractor services using pricing databases and supplier quotes.
- Client Engagement; Present technical solutions to clients, demonstrating the value proposition of MTU products and addressing queries effectively.
- Risk Management; Identify potential risks in project execution and develop mitigation strategies.
- Compliance; Ensure all proposals adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Energy preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal engineering or sales engineering within the energy or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with Diesel Gensets, Gas (CHP/CCHP) systems, Microgrids, or BESS technologies is essential.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and technical evaluations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
